Iranian political prisoner Shahram Radmehr was transferred from prison for medical treatments for the second time this week, and his health remains precarious.
Radmehr’s knees are so inflamed he is unable to sit, and according to his family, the lack of adequate care could make him require surgery.
Radmehr was arrested in 2013 in Azerbaijan Province along with four other activists. All five political prisoners are members of an Azerbaijan political group. They have each been sentenced to nine years in jail.
