The family of Sattar Beheshti, the jailed blogger who died while in the custody of cyber police, has decided not to pursue the case through the judiciary

Giti Pourfazel, the lawyer for the family, told ISNA that the court has dropped the charge of first degree murder, and the family is not interested in pursuing a manslaughter case because their goal is not to collect damages.
Sattar Beheshti was arrested in October 2012, and five days later the authorities pronounced him dead. His autopsy revealed that he had been beaten and abused while in custody, but the coroner has refused to directly link his death to the beatings
