A group of Allameh Tabtabai University students who have been suspended or expelled from the university on mostly political grounds held a protest on Saturday in front of the new university supervisor
.
Tasnim website reports that the 70 protesters gathered on Saturday September 14 in front of the university offices, holding banners and calling for the opportunity to continue with their studies.
During the eight years that Sadreddin Shariati was head of Allameh Tabatabai University, many students were disciplined and expelled for their political activities. Shariati recently was removed from his post by the Rohani administration, and Hossein Salimi has been appointed as the interim supervisor of the university.
