Sentence Of One Year In Jail Confirmed For Gonabadi Dervish, Alireza Roushan

     The sentences of Gonbadi dervish, Alireza Roushan was finalized by the appeals court.

According to Majzooban reporter, Gonabadi dervish and "Shargh" newspaper reporter, Mr Ali Reza Roushan was sentenced to one year imprisonment and four years of suspended jail term after being convicted of charges including " conspiracy to disturb the social and national security" (Article 610 of Islamic Penal Code) in Branch 26 of Tehran's Revolutionary Court presided by Judge "PirAbbasi" on last Tir (July).   The application for court of review in Branch 54 of the Revolutionary Court presided by Judge "Movahedi" was approved with no changes and he is to expect service of the ruling.   Ali Reza Roushan (a dervish poet), was arrested along with more than 15 other lawyers and personnels of Majzooban Noor website ( Nematollah Gonabadi Order News Site) in Shahrivar (September) last year in Tehran and he was released on bail after more than one month confinement in security ward 209 of Evin prison.   Our reporter added that, Mr.Roushan had been summoned to the Enforcement Branch of Revolutionary Court by phone and he did not go there due to "lack of legal legitimacy phone call" then his lawyer was warned that soon, they will issue a warrant of arrest for this Gonabadi dervish!   It should be noted that, another Gonabadi dervish, Mr.Nosrat Tabasi, was also sentenced to six months imprisonment and four years and six months of suspended jail term by Tehran's Revolutionary Court and his lawyers have appealed the ruling and review the case is ongoing.
