A Bahai arrested in Karaj

On August 17, Ruhiyyeh Qavami-nik, a Bahai from Karaj, was summoned by telephone to report to the offices of the Ministry of Intelligence.

 

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), when she complied, she was arrested, and transferred to Evin Prison in Tehran.

She has a four-year-old daughter.

Thus far she has not had any contact with her family, and the charges against her are not known.
