Behnam Ebrahimzadeh is transferred to the Ward 1 at Rajai Shahr Prison

Behnam Ebrahimzadeh is banished to the Ward 1 of Rajai Shahr Prison. Prior to this, he was transferred to solitary confinement at the Ward 209 at Evin Prison following the events at the Ward 350 at Evin Prison on April 17th, 2014 – also known as Black Thursdaybehnm3456.gif-.

 

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) in Iran, Behnam Ebrahimzadeh, was summoned to the Public Prosecutor Office of “Shahid Moghaddas” in Evin Prison by Judicial authorities on Saturday afternoon of May 3rd, 2014 and then was sent to the solitary confinement at the Ward 209 at Evin Prison.

He was banished two days ago – on Tuesday, August 12th, 2014- from the Ward 209 at Evin Prison to the Ward 1 at Rajai Shahr Prison which is designated for common criminals whom are serving long sentences.

A well informed source told HRANA reporter: “Behnam Ebrahimzadeh has been on Hunger Strike since August 8th, 2014 and now is in dangerous health conditions. His demands are to be transferred back to the Ward 350 at Evin prison and to receive medical treatments.”

The source has also added: “…During the time which Behnam was held in the Ward 209 at Evin Prison, a new case has been opened accusing him of disturbing the peace at the Ward 350 , Evin Prison back in April 2014”

Behnam Ebrahimzadeh is a Worker’s Right Activist. He was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment by the Islamic Revolutionary Court with “Collusion “charges and is now serving the 4th year of his sentence. He was initially arrested by security forces on June 12th, 2010 and was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment by Islamic Revolutionary Court. This verdict was reduced to 5 years imprisonment by the appeal court.
