Two leading rights groups on Tuesday called for an end to international cash and technical assistance to Iran’s anti-drug campaign, which they said was bolstering a rise in executions.

Branch 36 of the Court of Appeals has upheld the 10 year imprisonment sentence of Omid Kokabee.According to reports by Jaras, Kokabee's lawyers have not been allowed to visit with him.

Thirty-six universities in Iran have banned women from 77 fields of study.The ban, which was first reported Aug. 6 by Iran’s semiofficial Mehr News Agency, came as the results of university entrance exams for the coming academic year were being announced.
