Women’s right activist Mahboubeh Karami released from prison Print E-mail
Iranian women’s rights activist Mahboubeh Karami was released from prison on Wednesday night

Karami who had been actively involved in the One million signatures campaign for abolishing discriminatory laws against women, was released after 170 of imprisonment on a bail of more than $500,000. This was the fifth time that the activist had been arrested in recent years.

Two other prisoners, Ali Arab Mazar (senior economic aide to Mousavi) and Mohammad Reza Jalaeipour (spokesperson for the Third Wave Campaign) were also released from on Wednesday night.
