A letter from Mohammad Mostafaei to the United Nations.
Dear the Secretary of United Nations Mr. Ban Ki Moon,

As you know, the promotion and protection of Human Rights is one of the purposes of UN. Then despite the principle of sovereignty, for preventing violation of human rights, maintaining international peace and security and for preventing crimes against humanity and genocide the United Nations and with its subsidiary, the Human Rights Commission were established. The fundamental violation of human rights in Iran caused that I notify you about amputation of perpetrators by the Islamic Republic of Iran with this hope that maybe these violations that are spreading in the 21th century be stopped by the International methods.

Detained activist recounts “torture” and “coerced confessions” in Iranian prison Print E-mail

Detained Iranian political activists, Abdollah Momeni has written a letter addressed to Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, to describe the torture he was subjected to before he participated in the “coerced confessions and the show trials” of last summer.

The International Campaign for Human Rights published Momeni’s letter expressing grave concern over the safety of this political activist in prison and holding Ayatollah Khamenei and Ayatollah Larijani, head of Iran’s judiciary, responsible for his life.

Abdollah Momeni, spokesman for the student organization, Danesh Amoukhtegan, was arrested on June 20, 2009 after the controversial presidential elections that returned Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to power amidst charges of vote fraud, and he is currently serving out a four year sentence at Evin Prison.

Mohammad Mostafai, judicial lawyer whose wife and brother-in-law (Fereshteh Halimi and Farhad Halimi) have been under arrest since the beginning of last week, has written a letter to Tehran prosecutor.

Fereshteh and Farhad Halimi, wife and brother-in-law of Mohammad Mostafai, lawyer and children rights advocate, have been under arrest since the beginning of last week and have not contacted their family since.

The arrest of Mohammad Mostafai’s family took place after he was summoned to Evin prison last Saturday night and was questioned about his activities regarding adolescents condemned to death.

Indeed, monotheistic religions are free from the possession, control, and distortions of worldly irreligious men. You will never witness any pressures, threats and physical and psychological tortures committed by leaders of these religions.

According to recent events and evidence put forward by various independent human right organizations, the Islamic republic of Iran has put the people under immense pressure and dissidents are being imprisoned under false accusations such as “acting against national security”, espionage and even high treason.

These detainees are tortured both physically and mentally and now the government is using increased executions as a deterrent method.

My daughter, it's as if the world has turned where people are sent to prison for the crimes of loving humanity and freedom and you have also been jailed for more than 6 mos. I, as your mother, am so proud of your precious being, you have always been one of the best and still are...
My daughter, when I went to university asking for your transcripts, all the faculty congradulated me in having such a patient daughter and prayed that no one will be imprisoned for Human and Freedom Loving....
And now, I scream with a loud screech from the bottom of my heart that Shiva has been nurtured in my arms if anyone has to be incarcerated, it is me, not Shiva...So, throw me in jail and free my child...
